Location: Detroit, MI

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, ships and appropriately documents all products to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Stages daily shipments prior to ship date as available. Report any and all shortages to Materials Control immediately.  Assists with physical inventory or cycle counts as directed.
  • Reviews all documentation prior to labeling or shipment to ensure compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.  Palletizes, bands, wraps, stencils or otherwise properly prepares all materials for shipment
  • Loads outbound bulk trucks, freight trucks and overseas shipping containers
  • Completes documentation on material movement and Bills of Lading, assures appropriate paperwork and related documentation gets to the proper department in a timely manner, accurately records bin numbers for all shipment and receipts, where required.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping/receiving supplies and requisitions when necessary.
  • Inspect empty drums, trucks and IBC’s being delivered to make sure they are in good condition.
  • Reports any problems to Shipping Supervisor.
  • Maintains clean and organized work area and follow all safety rules and Company policies 


High school diploma or equivalent required.

Key Experiences:

  • Must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Capable of driving all types of forklifts
  • Proficiency in arithmetic skills.
