Assistant Site Manager

ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER

POSITIONS SUMMARY:

To support the Complex Manager/Site Manager II and ensure the HFC site is aligned with Houghton’s vision and mission. Support site and company activities in achieving customer satisfaction and company profitability using standardized procedures throughout sites.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Complex Manager/Site Manager II in all EH&S performance for all Houghton related operations. Ensures all HI operations and procedures are maintained and followed. Maintain and active awareness of hazard awareness and risk reduction. Housekeeping standards to be maintained at all times.
  • Support the Complex Manager/Site Manager II with respect to the SOW/contract and achieve or exceed the customer's expectation while achieving account profitability goals for Houghton.
  • Responsible for supporting the customer on all fluid related and SOW issues and working within the parameters of the Customer and Company Operating and EH&S - procedures.
  • Ensure all reports and data collection are kept up to date and distributed within the agreed upon timeframe.
  • Ensure all of Houghton owned/leased equipment including the site office is kept in suitable condition for the environment.
  • Work with the local HI Sales Rep. to ensure HI product implementation plans are met and/or exceeded to ultimately increase the profitability of the account.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical degree required in engineering, science, manufacturing or management and a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • This position requires excellent leadership, planning, results driven, interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving, conflict resolution abilities, proven negotiation skillfulness and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Metalworking Fluids, Metal Finishing, and Industrial Lubrication is preferred.
