Summary of position

This position is responsible for the Development of new opportunities by promoting the portfolio of grease products and solutions into new targeted Original Equipment Manufacturers, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers for the automotive transplant industry.

What will you do

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans that will generate and prioritize growth and increased market share to achieve incremental revenue and business targets in new customers.
  • Develop relationships with the automotive transplant companies including their tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers working with product engineers and engineering managers for on vehicle applications.
  • Develop customer presentations, proposals and commercial offers that demonstrates the benefits Quaker Houghton’s specialty grease technology offerings and what the value add is in developing a partnership with Quaker Houghton.
  • Manages portfolio, price/margin targets, developing maintaining relationships with the OEMS, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers. Will be responsible managing and developing OEM transplant business.
  • Collaborates with the Research and Development Team, Commercial Director and Global Sales Team in the development of Global Projects.
  • Manage and maintain updated CRM pipeline of key target accounts and opportunities.
  • Understand and share knowledge of the competition, customer landscape, and market trends as they pertain to business development.
  • Comply with all Company Policies: to include but not limited to Code of Conduct and expense reporting, etc.
  • Ownership of individual development plan (IDP) as agreed upon with Commercial Director.
  • Implement and drive and internal value based selling approach through the customer intimacy.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Director on budgets, forecasts and business reviews on business development accounts and projects.

What do we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. (MS/MBA preferred) in Chemistry, Engineering, or any relevant business-related area. Lubricant grease knowledge or experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of B2B experience in sales and/or business development working in the automotive transplant industry with key decision managers such as product engineers and engineering managers for new on vehicle applications
