Job Summary

Responsible for the packaging of grease across various filling equipment including but not limited to: Simplex piston pump filler, induction heaters, manual and automated crimpers, Auto bag fillers, manual heat sealers and or hand packaging.

The Packaging Associate will utilize various tools / equipment including but not limited to: Roto Lifts, drum lifts, drum carts, scales, load cells, lift carts, pallet jackets, forklifts (propane and or electric), reach trucks, pneumatic drum pumps and keg pumps, wand pumps.

What will you do?

1. Planning

• Obtain list of packaging needs from Supervisor / Team Leader.
• Obtain the necessary finished products to complete the necessary packaging.
• Obtain the necessary packaging and tools to be filled.
• Coordinate with the other manufacturing representatives to secure equipment and other necessary tools and equipment.

2. Packaging

• Following operating instructions for proper valve opening/closing for filling, heating, cooling, running and emptying the filling equipment.
• Follow operating procedures on proper operation of various filling and sealing equipment.
• Follow proper operating procedures for all necessary equipment utilized to complete packaging tasks.
• Maintain a clean working environment to promote equipment efficiency, orderly workspace and low potential for product contamination.
• Utilize the tools, scales, resources available to complete the work order in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy on measurement to ensure high quality product.
• Cross check the finished goods and the packaging to ensure correct packaging.

What do we look for?

• This position requires basic abilities associated with reading, writing, computer skills and math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
