Process Application Specialist, Tube & Pipe

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing the specialized product and application knowledge and support to the frontline sales and business development teams and customers.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Provide very specialized knowledge of specific process and application expertise at the customer site
  • Provide technical support to the sales force, handle technical product application-related problems escalated from the field, and work closely with sales/Key Account management teams.
  • Develop and implement guidelines regarding equipment and test methods consistent with best practices.
  • Recommend and facilitate improvement initiatives and total cost of ownership projects.
  • Generate reports and technical audits/surveys of product application and customer process related items as required.
  • Comply with all Company Policies: to include but not limited to Code of Conduct and expense reporting, etc.
  • Ownership of individual development plan (IDP) as agreed upon with direct line manager.
  • 5+ years managing metal working fluids, metal forming applications
  • 5+ years working with UV cured, LED UV Cured, Solvent Based, Water Bourne coatings
  • Coatings Equipment proficiency; spray rings, HVLP, air assist, airless
  • Filtration Experience/Expertise
  • Working Knowledge of Induction heaters, washers, paint systems, control systems.
  • T&P Mill Experience preferred, steel mill and/or mfg plant experience.
  • Hands on mechanical experience, adept at making process adjustments to drive customer and QH success.

Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Chemistry, Engineering or any relevant business related area and/or technical certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in area of focus; MWF/Metal, Coatings, etc.
